This course addresses China's Disinformation and Covert Influence Operations in the West. A strong emphasis is placed on covert influence strategy and operations targeted against the overseas Chinese Diaspora, foreign political leadership, foreign media, academia, corporations, advisors, and other influencers. Minimal discussion will be on propaganda as that component of China's influence efforts has received significant attention in the worldwide press and academia.
