Designed for intelligence officers, investigators, and diplomats this course gives an in-depth detailed understand of Chinese culture and the behavioral norms. This two hour and 30 minute (2:30) self-paced course focuses on using methods to elicit and solicit cooperation in Chinese culture and society. This knowledge is paramount for establishing and controlling interpersonal relationships, conducting negotiations, interviews, and countering Insider Threats. The name for China literally translates to the Middle Kingdom. The Chinese culture developed in relative isolation for thousands of years as the country is bordered by high mountains, deserts, tropical jungles, and the Western Pacific Ocean. Four hundred years of exposure to foreign influence has done little to alter the foundations of this Confucian based, humanistic society. This course provides unique insights and recommends methods to build the foundation for establishing interpersonal relationships in Chinese culture and society.
